Term Definition
SerigraphA serigraph is a print created utilizing the silkscreen process. A silkscreen is a frame with silk or other fine fabric stretched tightly across it. An image is created directly on the fabric screen using a stencil to form the image and to block the areas where paint is not needed. Water-based or oil-based paint is squeezed or brushed through the screen, creating the image on the paper below.

Shadow boxA shadow box is a deep picture box with a deep molding in which you can display your collectibles and three-dimensional objects (medals, ribbons, flags, badges, and other memorabilia).

Silk-screenA stencil process of printing in which a cloth (originally silk) is stretched over a heavy frame and the design painted by tusche or affixed by stencil. It is printed by having a squeegee force color through the pores of the fabric in areas not blocked out. The term silk-screen now implies a commercial use, the same process used in fine art is termed serigraph.

Still lifeA painting or drawing of a group of inanimate objects.
